John joined M&C Saatchi in April 2005 bringing with him sports experience both in London and in Scotland.
John started at The Sports Business in Glasgow where he managed Tennentís sponsorship exploitation around the Tennentís Scottish Cup before moving to London to take up a post at Hill & Knowlton where he successfully managed the relaunch and new look and feel of The Carling Cup as well as creative comms campaigns for adidas to promote both products and assets including David Beckham, Johnny Wilkinson & adidas sponsorship of Team GB.
During his early years with M&C Saatchi John worked on a diverse range of clients in sport, film & music with campaigns for Orange around BAFTA & Glastonbury; Carlsbergís sponsorship of The England football team & FA Cup as well as TaylorMade golf & Tuborg beer and for around 6 years John was our client lead with Reebok Global overseeing their repositioning as the worlds number one fitness brand.
In the last 4 years Johnís focus has been on developing creative campaigns that provide impact. John currently heads up Samsungís sponsorship activity including Tough Mudder, The Olympic Games, Team GB & CSR bringing to life their Ďinnovation for human benefití positioning, BNY Mellonís sponsorship of The University Boat Races (a world first sponsorship donation to Cancer Research) & Heinekenís sponsorship of F1 which will focus on the new age of F1 following itís change of ownership.
